CARNIVAL QUEEN NOTES.
FIBRE QUEEN. i The Fibre Queen Commiltee*?eid the first of their series of dances in ‘ the Masonic Hall last night, when"' the hall was crowded, and the function voted a huge /success by all present. Dressed flax and the popular tangerine colours, of course, were prominent in the welldecorated hall. ‘ warn SPORTS QUEEN. The shop being conducted to-dk • by the Sports Committee is being well patronised, and should be m source of many votes. The samo Committee will hold their second dance in the Town Hall on Tuesday next, tickets for which are now on sale. FARMERS’ QUEEN. The tickets for the above Committee’s dance, to be held on Tuesday Bth are out and selling fast. Likewise the art union tickets for the same candidate. NATIVE QUEEN. The Natives are holding another meeting to-day, when final arrangements will be made for a big concert to be held shortly. ALL QUEENS. All the Queens have been photographed, and will be screened at the Town Hall to-night. Secretaries of the various queen candidate committees are invited to .forward progress reports of their various activities for publication.
