THE COMING CARNIVAL.
A meeting of the Citizen’s Queen Committee and all willing to assist this candidate, will be held in the Town Hall at 7.30 o’clock this evening. A good attendance is requested. A meeting of all local and district farmers willing to assist 'the Farmers’ Queen candidate will be held in the Town Hall supper-room at 7.30 o’clock to-morrow (Wednesday) evening.
A meeting of the Fibre Queen Committee will be held in .the “Herald” Office to-night at 7.30 o’clock. There was a very successful meeting of the Natives on Saturday afternoon, when a large Native Queen Committee .was formed, taking in members from Shannon to Otaki, and they expect to do good work for the Carnival and their queen. The Carnival Queens Art Union tickets and coupons will be out on Wednesday, when there will be something doing.
Mr Reid will photograph the queens this week, and they will be screened at the Town Hall on Saturday.
There have been a great number of-tickets sold for the Sports Queen Dance, which should turn out a great success.
