CRICKET.
A return match with Levin has been arranged to take place at Le-» vin to-morrow, and the following will represent Foxton: F. Bowe, Burnett, Claris, Cummerfield, Francis, Hirini, Mercer, W. G. Nye, Procter, Reeve, Westwood. The conveyance will leave the Post Office at 1 o'clock sharp. There will be a practice on the Victoria Park pitch this evening, commencing at 5 o’clock. •
An endeavour is being made to secure a local eleven for Saturday play, and all those interested in same should notify promptly either Mr Furrie or Mr E. Huntley. Although the season is drawing to a close, ample time yet remains to get off’ a few matches with surrounding clubs, which will give an impetus to local cricket circles for next season.
In respect of the material purchased recently, donations to cover cost of same are solicited from players, and although the amount required is only small sufficient money has not yet been received to cover this liability. Donations will be received by Dir E. Huntley.
