COVER THE HEAD.

WARNING TO SCHOOL; CHILDREN.

Dr. Elizabeth Gunn, medical inspector of schools, has forwarded the following urgent circular, under date 15th inst., to all head teachers: “Owing to the almost tropical heat, all children should lie warned against being in the sunshine without hats (caps are useless). The back of the neck must be well shaded. As- many classes as possible should lie held out of doors, but these only if there is plenty of shade. No girl or boy should be allowed in the sun unless the head is covered with a large hat.”
