PICNIC.
Ideal weather prevailed for All Saints’ Sunday School picnic on Saturday. The day was spent in the grounds of Mr yV. E. Barber s estate at Alotuiti, About 150 children and parents were present. Mr and Airs Barber proved excellent host and hostess, and spent the day in giving the children a real good time. Swings, see-saws, cricket, and racing fully occupied the time of both children and adults. Prizes were given, and no child was overlooked in this connection. • Mrs Barber and her daughters, with the assistance of MesdamesWalton, Austin, McAlurray and Alisses Austin, McAlurray and Crowe, attended to the important item of “feeding the multitude,” and all had sufficient, although Oliver Twist had many rivals amongst the boys.. Mr East (the superintendent), All* S. Barber, and the A 7 icar helped Air Barber sciir. to keep the children entertained. Thanks are due to Messrs Barber, G. Corny, Murphy, Petersen and Osborne, who conveyed the party to and from the locality, and all were landed safely without any mishaps.
