THE CIRCUS IS COMING!
What wonderful words are, s these! What a wealth of memories they recall. Happy childhood, growing youthful days, and mature manhood, all have vivid and delightful recollections of the circus.
How we, as children, Swarmed around the circus tent while it was being erected, how we pestered our parents to take us to see the big show, and with what delight did we happily rush away to get cleaned when we lmd finally secured their consent ! And, let us whisper, how fondly did our parents think they ha.d led us to believe that they were conferring a great favour on us, when all the time* they had their minds made up, willy-nilly, to go themselves! With what eetasy did we scramble, to get our seats, and when we had them, how we itched with desire for the performance to begin, bow we wriggled and twisted till at last the blare of the band betokened the beginning. With what a gasp of awe we saw the grand entry of the riders, and how we envied the lights and spangles of the performers. All this, and more, have you all experienced, and once more you will throng to sec the big show that is now advertised to appear in Foxton on February 4th, for the famous St. Leon's Circus is coining. This is the oldest established circus in Australasia, with the finest reputation in the world for its wonderful entertaining facilities and the excellence of its performers.
