ROYAL PICTURES
The star picture at the Royal tonight, “The Devil’s Trail,” is a fastmoving melodramatic picture of the strenuous and sensational days when the Royal Canadian NorthWest Mounted Police waged daily and perilous warfare with whiskysmugglers and had men in general. Just the right kind of play for the World Film stars, .Betty Compson and George Larkin, and the production is not only a genuine thriller, but provides an inspiring demonstration of the exploits of the most famous police force in tlie world. As an extra a further episode great serial, “Smashing Barriers,” will be shown.
On Monday William Fox will present his delightful star, Miss Shirley Mason, in a new comedy, “Molly and I,” based on Frank R. Adams’ story, “Molly and I and the Silver Ring.” The pretty little actress is said to have a role that is admirably suited to her great talents and attractive personality. It is described as acomedy with ajieap of wholesome fun and just enough of pathos to make it doubly entertaining. There are many beautiful scenes in the picture, some of them being laid in an Italian garden. A Sunshine comedy, “Heart Snatellers,” will also be included in this programme.
