FOXTON RACECOURSE TRUSTEES.
ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of thy above trustees was held in the Town Hall yesterday .afternoon, when Mr J. Kebbell, chairman, submitted the following report to an attendance of six:— t&'ki
“The Trustees have the honour to report that the balance at the P.O. Savings Bank on Mai’ch 31st last was £26 15s Id, which, together with the rent now due, will he about £36, after paying for the usual advertising. As all the new arrangcm'onts regarding the road encroachment and land given by the Pacing Club to the Trustees wore settled before the last meeting, there lias been nothing to do, nor has there been any correspondence. The Trustees, however, congratulate the Club on the work it has done in the improvements of the totalisator house, and the moving back of the grandstand and fences. The Club has not been able to remove or remodel the stewards’ stand, as it could not obtain a permit from the Board of Trade. A good many trees have been cut away to give a belter view from the stands and lawn. More room has been made for all accommodation. The whole property has been made rabbit-proof, and a considerable amount of soil bars been carted and put on the tracks. All buildings and fences lire in first class order.” On the Chairman’s motion the report was carried unanimously.
