SCHOONER ASHORE AT KAPITI.

The auxiliary schooner Lily, hound from Welling! 01 lo Oroymouth, under charter to the New ZealamPGovernment to load timber in connection with the housing scheme, went ashore at Kapiti Island on Tuesday night, during bad weather. Her position is not dangerous, and it is expected that the vessel will arrive back at Wellington on Sunday to undergo.repairs, The vessel is in charge oil Captain Purvis, and is owned by A. and D. Campbell, of Wellington.
