There was a ■tremendous number of exhibits in the primary school section at the Palmerston Show, and the judges had- great difficulty in making the awards. Allogether 87 awards (58 merit cards and 2!) commended and very highly commended cards) were gained. Out of 307 awards obtained by all schools competing in the classes in which (he local pupils exhibited, 87 awards came to Poxton. Exhibits came from as far north as Paeroa, and east from Hastings.
