HUSBAND AND WIFE INJURED,

Wanganui, November 1,

Stephen Harris, a labourer, is alleged to have attacked his wife with a hammer yesterday, afterwards inflicting a bad gash on her throat with a razor. The man is said to have (hen attempted to commit suicide by cutting bis own throat, severing ihe windpipe, Harris was taken to the hospital. His wife’s injuries are less serious, and it is not thought there will be fatal results in either case, as both are progressing favourably.
