ARSON.

A lad of 15 years named Clarence James Davison was charged at the Palmerston S.M. Court yesterday with having on or about October 23rd wilfully set fire to a butcher’s shop occupied by Joseph Lemmon, in Oxford Street, Levin.

Accused, pleaded guilty, and was committed to the Supreme Court at the next sitting in Palmerston North for sentence.

In applying for a continuation of bail, Mr Imres stated that the boy’s father was a very respectable man in Levin, and he understood that the police had no objections. DetectiveSergeant Quirke concurred, and bail was allowed us before in the sum of £SO and one surety for a like amount.
