WEDDINGS.

MAHON—HAMMOND. • A. pretty wedding was celebrated at All Saints’ Church, yesterday morning by Iho Rev. 'A. H. Aalton, Ihc contracting parties being Air EdAvard Mahon, late of Blenheim, and Miss .May Hammond, late of Birmingham, England. The bride, Avho arrived in NeAv Zealand by the Tainui about a fortnight ago, Avas given uAvay by the bridegroom’s bro-ther-in-law, Mr W. AVoodluuu, and Avas dressed in ivory erepe-de-chene and georgette, with the usual veil and orange blossoms, and she carried u sheath of arum lilies. She Avas attended by Miss Mona AlcEavcii as bridesmaid, avliu Avore a dress of white voile and black picture hat. Mr Edgar McEavgh officiated ns best man. After the ceremony (he Avedding breakfast Avas held at the residence of the bridegroom’s sister and brother-in-law (Mr and Airs W, Woodham), when the usual toasts Avere honoured. Mr and Mrs Alahon afterwards left by motor, on route for the South Island, on their honeymoon, and avIII afterwards take up (heir residence in Huwarden, North Canterbury.

AIARON—CHANDLER. - Another pretty wedding avus celebrated this morning, at All Saints’ Church, When the Rev. AV. H. AVniton united Mr William Mahon, of Te Avvamutu, brother of the bridegroom of the previous day, and Miss Lydia Chandler, late of Winchester, England, Avho also arrived in Ncav Zealand by Hie Tainui about a fortnight ago. The bride was given away by Air AV. AA r oo,dham, and was attired in an ivory crepe-de-chene dress, with the customary veil and orange blossoms, and carried a shoAver bouquet. She was attended my Miss Mona Alcßwen as bridesmaid, Avho Avore a dress of blue satin georgette, and black hat. Air E. AVeslwood officiated as best man. The Avedding breakfast was held at the residence

of Mr and Mrs Woodham, when the usual toasts were honoured, and the newly-married couple afterwards left for the north for their honeymoon. They will subsequently take up their residence at Te Awamutu.
