“Poppy,’’ Cynthia ftockiey’s great African Romance, 'with Korina Talmadge as [lie star, will be the attraction at the Royal to-night. Korina Talmadge, as Poppy Destin, appears first as a poor, maltreated waif. She runs away from home, and is befriended by Ahinger, who later marries her, the ceremony being performed in french, and Poppy told (hat it is merely a formal adoption. She falls in love with another man, arid then learns that she is the wife of Ahinger, How she curries out her determination to make her own way in the world, and finally returns to face both men who have come into her life, and win her happiness, forms a fascinating and dramatic stow.
On .Monday a double feature fox , programme will be screened. In “The Iron Heart,” according to report, the most modern ideas as to industrial institutions have been worked out, the story thereby carrying a great message to humanity. With Miss Traverse in the cast are George McDaniel, Edwin Booth Tilton, Melbourne McDowell and Ben Deely. Denison Clift, the wellknown director, figures / also as author of “The Iron Heart.” The other star film features 'William Russell, and as usual there is a combination of thrills, action and suspense.
