FISHING INDUSTRY.
In conversation with a local lisherman we were informed that there was not much inclination among the fishermen to place the fishing industry on a wider basis. Each party acted “on their own” with drag nets in the river, and occasionally ventured over fhe bar for line fishing. This latter was strenuous work, and risky. What he suggested was the services of a launch which would tow the fishing boast periodically a mile or two out to sea and leave, them to engage in fishing, and return at a given time to tow them in again. This vvouid obviate much exertion and risk, and would ensure more regular supplies of fish. If local fishermen could agree on this method it would be greatly to their advantage,
