SALE OF WORK.

The sale of work in aid of Hie Halva I ion Army Self-Denial fund, held in the Army Hall on Tuesday night, was well patronised. During (he evening items were contributed by Mesdames Bullard and Healey, Miss C. Lnudqiust (a pianoforte solo), Messrs Hornblow and Captain Elford elocutionary items. The latter created much amusement by a clover child impersonal ion of a recital ion. The Army Band contributed several selections. The. Boy Scouts gave a very interesting exhibition of human pyramid building. The accompaniments were played by Miss Signal. Those who assisted in the stalls were Mesdames Scollay, Stuart, Broad, Chalk, Misses Piper and Prew, while Captain and Mrs Elford were responsible for the arrangements. The affair was very successful, both from a social and financial point of view.
