Yesterday afternoon soveivff members of the local club attended the official opening of the Matin wain Club's lawns. The lawim were in splendid order and the visitors spent a most enjoyable 1 afternoon. A “break” competition was played and was won by Mrs Perrean, of Foxton. The liongburn lawns will he opened on Saturday next the Hilh inst. and the Levin lawn on Wednesday, tiie 271 h inst. A cordial invitation to he present at these openings has been extended to the members of the Foxton Club, and all those desirous of titlending are requested to pul. their names up on the hoard a!
