FOXTON BEAUTIFYING SOCIETY.

At the meeting of the Beautifying Society held in Hie supper room of the Town Hall on Monday last there wore present; —Mr Perreau (in the chair) Mesdames F. Robinson, McM'.urray, IP Fusion, Ilalliday, Moore, Miss Symons, and Messrs M'oorlmuse and Ilalliday. Apologies were received from Mrs G. Robinson and Mr Svaions.

The minutes of the last meeting were read and conlirmed. The vacancy on the committee was filled by the election of Mr Poole.

The Secretary was directed to write to the executive oi.‘ (he local football club thanking them for their donations of gate takings from the Saturday matches played recently.

The lady members of the Society agreed to appoint an afternoon for a’'“working bee” to plant borders of seeds and seedlings in the Park. It was decided to open a subscription list to raise money to set out tennis and croquet courts in the Park. Once these courts were in existence they would be a source of revenue. The canvassing, lor guarantors was left to two members of the Society.

Mr Holliday's offer of the use of. the Presbyterian schoolroom for future meetings was gratefully accepted.
