ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
TE AWAMUTU, Last Night. A burning - accident occurred at Pirongia this morning, and resulted in .serious injuries to Mrs Parsons, wife of a popular settler. She was in indifferent health, and occupied a room adjoining that of her husband, who at, two o’clock was awakened by her calling. He found the room ablaze and with 'dilliculty carried her to the verandah, and subsequently checked the lire. She was unconscious all day and her condition is critical. DON hi DIN, Last night.
Fleming .Russell, twenty-four years of age, single, a farm assistant, was riding along* tJu' l lciilcy-I 1 o<id to-night on a motor cycle, when lie collided with a trap, lie wan killed outright.
