RIFLE SHOOTING.
Lasl Saturday, amid cloudy and breezy weather, the Fox ton Defence Rifle Club held the first shoot of the season, a match, between teams headed by the President and a vicepresident respectively. There was a very good attendance, three now members, Mr Eiford, Mr H. Graham and Mr G. Cull, also being present. Certain a lterations to Ihe range were made recently, which have effected a marked improvement. .
The match was fired at ranges of; 200 yards and 300 yards, 7 shots and sighter at each.’ The result was very close, the Yice-pfesident’s team winning by 10 points only. J.
