Dr, and Mrs Adams arc visiting Foxton friends, prior to taking up their residence in Wanganui, whore , Dr. Adams has been appointed pathologist and Inteleriologist to the Wanganui Hospital. Dr. Adams had a somewhat strenuous time during (he whole of the war period in England and France. His spare time was given up to specialisation in pathology and bacteriology, in which branches of medical science and research he obtained the highest diplomas. 'While the Wanganui institution is to be congratulated upon having secured the services of this talented young Mew Zealander, we understand that his work will not be restricted to the hospital alone. If we may bo permitted to express an opinion, it is this, that the Health Department should have secured the services of Dr. Adams for the work which he is so eminently qualified to perform, for the benefit of the hospitals and the profession as a whole rather than that he should occupy a semi-public position under one Board.
