Barrv described the Coronation Slone (the Stone of Scone) as the most sacred emblem the Avorld had ever known. The Kings of Israel, he said, and King George A . were ( rowneii on the same Bethel stone, and with the same ritual. H must he recognised that the throne of England was not merely a Throne of Royal man, but it was the throne of Jehovah, and there was therefore a sanctity in the sendee of the Coronation of the King, who ruled hy Divine right with the assent of the people.
