To-night, at the Royal, the famous Japanese film star, Sessuc Huyakawa, will appear iu the new emotional drama of tho East, “A Hear! in Pawn,” a Robertson-Cole production. In this phty (he favourite actor takes the part of a Japanese student who marries secretly, and later remarries, on hearing uni rue reports of his wife’s death. On Monday, patrons are promised an unusual treat, when there will he presented for the first time the remarkable William Box DID) extravaganza, “All Baba and the Forty Thieves.” The story of All Baba is one of the most interesting in (hat famous old Persian classic, tho Arabian Nights. The very fact that this tale lias held its popularity for over a thousand years, and has been translated into every knovfn language, is a guarantee that it has entertaining value enough to interest any audience. The compelling story, however, was not sufficient for the producer of this extraordinary photoplay. He has surrounded it with all the Oriental splendour of the original court and city of the great Caliph, Haroun-al-Rashid, whose magnificence was remarkable even in those days of extravagance. In addition to tho above, another star feature, “A Girl in’ Bohemia,” starring Peggy Hyland, will also be shown.
