The final male!! to deckle the senior championship of the llorowhc-0 mm Union is being placed at Levin ’ this afternoon, between'Levin Wanderers and Hni Altai (Mahakan).' Alr T.Uanita is referee. Both teams have played consistently throughont the season, and the Wanderers have emerged with a slightly better record, and are leading by one point. The records of the two teams lire as follows —-Wanderers: Played 9, won 7, drawn 1, lost 1 (by default)* championship points 1(1. Hni Mai; Played 10, won fi, drawn 3. lost I, championship [mints 15. The refnrn " senior rep. match, Rangitikci v. Horowhenua. has been arranged to lake place in Levin on September 1.11 h.

The llorowhemm Union has received no. definite information regarding the matches it was endeavouring to arrange for the local reps. Two t ,r three outside unions have been written to, hut replies are slow in

coming to hand. If is the intention to send the junior reps, (o Wellington to play a return match with (heir juniors, but the dale has not yet been fixed. It

is probable that a return will ho played with Manawaln in a week or ;t fortnight’s time.

The most important •senior rep. lixluve is, of course, the Ran fairly Shield match with Wellington on September 25th.
