NOR ETROKPECTIV E PR DPORAI
it is reported that a private deputation from racing clubs that wailed upon Mr Mas-my last week with reference to the taxation of racing chilis was assured by the Prime Minister that it was not intended to make the income taxation retrospective, as it was realised that profits had been disseminated either in stakes or improvements. The Prime Minister could not promise relief in respect of the duplication by the taxation of both totalisator investments ami income, but he said that the point would receive consideration when readjustment of taxation was being considered.
