MANSLAUGHTER CHARGE.
WARREN NEWT It FOUND NOT GUILTY.
The manslaughter charge against, Warren Newth, arising out of (he recent Sanson motor fatality, resulting in three deaths, was concluded at the Palmerston Supreme Court on Friday, when further evidence for the defence was given. In his address, counsel for I tie accused slated that the Crown’s ease had been entirely disproved. There was clear evidence that Ncwlh drove at a moderate pace, yet Eglinton had averaged a greater speed. The police tests had been carried out unfairly, and (lie prosecution had based its ease purely on theory.
