Peter Legg, 45' years of age, engaged on public works at Te Roti, was knocked down by a cyclist near Eltham on Saturday evening, and sustained a severe fracture of the skull. Legg succumbed a few minu - tes later. Legg was a discharged seaman, and a native of North Shields.
