The team will leave for Taihape on Friday. VISITING FOOTBALLER INJURED. - Auckland, Yesterday. In the League football match on Saturday, Rogers, the English halfhack, had his left leg broken below the knee. WAIRARAPA DEFEATS HAWKES . BAY. In the representative game, Hawkes Bay v. Wairarapa, played at Carterton on Saturday, the Wairarapa team won by 12 points to 5. AUCKLAND BEATEN BY THAMES. Thames, Yesterday. After a hard, fast game, in which Thames generally held the upper hand, and in the last quarter completely dominated the game, the Thames Rugby representatives defeated Auckland by 20 points to G. On the local ground on Saturday afternoon a match was played between teams from the Foxton and Shannon State Schools. The local boys were too good for their opponents, the final scores being, Foxton 19, Shannon 0. Mr W. Neville refereed. At the conclusion of the game the visitors were'entertained at afternoon tea at Mr Walls’ refreshment rooms, A return match will bo played at Shannon.
