THE GOVERNMENT scores. MR. MACDONALD’S MOTION DEFEATED BY 45 TO 23. Wellington, July 8. The debate on (he Address-in-Repiy was continued in the House of .Representatives Ibis afternoon, when the Hon. Mr Parr, who had moved the adjournment on the previous evening, said he would not exercise his right to speak, as he understood there was a general desire on the part of the House to come to a decision.
