CORRESPONDENCE.

(To the Editor.) Sir. —Now that the price of bread has been raised, would it not be advisable for the bakers to sell by weight from large slabs, instead of loaves? If this system was adopted there would not be any doubt as to the correct weight, and the bakers would be saved a good deal of extra labour. This is done in many of the London shops. May' I ask, Sir, if any of your readers will supply recipes for home-made bread? —I am, etc., FAMILY MAN. | WE shall be pleased to publish any bread recipes, as suggested. — Ed. IL]
