CALDEIL-RAND. At All Saints' Church, on Wednesday, a wedding which created a good deal of local interest was celebrated by (he vicar, Rev. W. The church was tastefully decorated for the ceremony, and Miss Betty presided at the organ. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming in a dress of white crcpc-de-ehene and georgette, trimmed with pearls, with the orthodox veil and orange blossoms, and a pretty spray bouquet. The bride was accompanied by her sister, .Miss Esmee Bennett, as (duel bridesmaid, dressed in pink erepe-de-ehene, trimmed with pale blue fringe, black leghorn hat with ostrich feather, and a bouquet of violets and maiden-hair fern, and Miss L. Morgan, in pale blue erepe-de-ebene, and black tulle ha>, with a similar bouquet. Mr George Nisbett officiated as best man, and Mr Cyril Gray as groomsman. After the ceremony the guests, to the number of upwards of 100, adjourned to the Masonic Hall, where they were received by Mrs Rand. The interior of the hall and t a Dios were tastefully decorated. The usual toasts were drunk with musical honours, and felicitous speeches made. In the evening a ball was held, and a most enjoyable social time spent. The happy couple left by motor car on their honeymoon, after which they will take up their residence in Auckland. The presents were numerous, including a number of substantial cheques. The bridegroom s present to the bride was a gold necklet and locket, ami gold and pearl brooches to the bridesmaids. The bride’s present to the bridegroom was a travelling rug. We join with Mr and Mrs Calder’s many friends in wishing them health and prosperity.
