SENTENCE

The Hon. E. P. Loo. (Minister for Justice) announced on Thursday liuit Cabinet hud decided upon the remission of six months of the sentences of all military prisoners sentenced in New Zealand. The cases of those sentenced overseas, he stated, had already been dealt with on the report of the officer commanding the forces. This decision means that a considerable number of military prisoners sentenced in New Zealand will be released practically at once.
