PRISONKR CUTS HIS WAV OUT OF A CELL. Hamilton, Yesterday. Thorlas Oswald Knudsen, who was sentenced yesterday to two years’ imprisonment on a. charge of I heft, escaped from custody in (he early hours of the morning by cutting his way through the inner and outer wadis of Ids ecll, which together are about two inches thick. Knudsen was awaiting transfer to Auckland to-day, and was placed in a cell, where he was visited at intervals. He was (ittile safe at 3 o'clock this morning, Iml was mmsing at 5 o’clock. So far there is no trace of Knudsen, who is a Swedish sailor.
