THE SHIPMENTS TO AMERICA
Christchurch, June 17.
“The shipments of New Zealand lamb to the United States were originally arranged Avitli the Imperial Government through Armour and Co., Ltd., London, at the instigation of Armour and Co., of Australasia, Ltd.” This statement Avas made to a reporter to-day by Mr N. L. M’Beth, manager in New Zealand for Armour and Co., of Australasia, Ltd., when referring to last night’s Auckland message about New Zealand lamb’ on the American market. Whilst unable to give details, be said lie kncAV that the price of 11 cents per lb. stated to have been paid to the Imperial Government, avus quite Avide of the mark. A price, very much above this Avas paid.
