FOOTBALL.

All junior competition fixtures set down for decision on Saturday next have been postponed, and the Union has decided to' play a junior game, North v. South, on that day as a curtain j’aiser to the Horowhe-nua-Manawatu senior representative match on the Levin ground. From I lie players taking part in this game the junior representative team ’will be selected. The North will comprise: Shannon, Foxton, Koputaroa and LB via Wanderers; and the South, Kuku, Hui Mai, Otaki, and Waikanae. Mr Hone .McMillan is the selector of the North team, and the following Foxton players have been 'selected: —IL laylor (full back), Moses (centre-three-quart-er), Reid (five-eighth), Baker (half) and M. Robinson and Thompson (forwards). Hakaraia has been selected as emergency back, and V. Robinson as emergency forward. Reid, of Foxton, will captain the North team. The match will commence at 2 p.m.

At a meeting of the Horowhcnna Union this week, Mr J. J. 0 Connor, referee in the Waiknnae-Foxton match last .. Saturday, reported a Waikanae player for using offensive language to him after the match, and for striking an opposing player during the game. It was resolved that, the player in question be requested to appear .before* the Union.
