BOROUGH FINANCES.

The Borough Treasurer reported at last night's Council, meeting as follows: —

During the month qf May the sum of £715 Os Pd was received, and placed to (he credit of accounts as under: District fund account £7OB 15s 2d, cemetery nccounl* £(i 5s od. The Mayor said that the statement disclosed a very satisfactory' state of affairs. At this time last year the rale demands had not been issued, but this year the demands were out, and already £BOO in rates had been collected. This was due to the promptitude of the Town Clerk.
