The Department of Public Health wrote to the Palmerston North Hospital Board, asking for some definite repiv as lo when the Board avus going to take over the cottage hospital at Olaki. Mr Hornhlow then gave notice of motion to rescind the Board’s resolution of September, 1018, which read as follows: “That this Board agrees to the Health Department taking over the Otaki hospital institutions on the understanding that the consumptive port ion becomes a Government institution entirely, and* the collage hospital at the end of the war or when the Government so desire lie again taken over by the Palmerston North Hospital Board.” Mr Penn (Otaki) also gave notice of motion as follows: “That this Board notifies the Health authorities that it will he prepared to take over the cottage hospital at >Otaki at the end of the financial year.”—Times.
