WEDDING.
BURKE—EASTON
A pretty wedding took plaee at Ihe English Church, Shannon, on dune Ist, when Miss Irene Easton, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs V . Easton, of Buckley, Shannon, was married to Mr Frank Burke, of Christchurch. The Rev. W. Raiiie of Eoxton, officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a charming frock of ivory crepe-de-chcnc, trimmed with pearl trimming and hand embroidery, and
an embroidered veil and orange blossoms. The bouquet Avas of pink heather and lycopodium fern. The bridesmaid, Miss Erice least on, wore a dressyoi’ pink silk kahe, and a black lace hat and black \*elvet streamers, and carried a bouquet of pink rose buds and fern. Mr V\. Easton, only brother of the bride, acted as best man, and Mrs Shankland presided at the organ. After 1 lie ceremony about 50 guests wore entertained at the home of: the bride's parents. Mr and Mrs Burke left for Wellington amid showers of confetti, where the honeymoon avus spent. The bride’s going-aAvay dress was a gaberdine costume, with black furs and a black velour bat.
