FOOTBALL.
SATURDAY’S RESULTS. The only senior match played on Saturday was between Wanderers and Shannon, on the Levin ground, and the result was a win for Wanderers by 11 points (two tries, one converted, and a penalty goal) to nil.
Foxlon and Kuku were to have met, but through a misunderstanding as to where the match, was to be played, the game did not take place. The Kuku team was wailing for Foxton at Kuku, and the Foxlon players were all ready at Foxton, expecting Kuku to [Jay here. The misunderstanding occurred through the alteration in the previous Saturday’s senior fixture, Hui Mai v. Foxton, which was first set down for the Foxton ground, hut was altered at the last minute to Manakau, on the grounds that a junior fixture was being played at Foxton on the same day, and it was not advisable to have two matches in Foxlon and leave the Manakau ground unoccupied. In view of this the Foxton players understood that as there was a junior match being played at Kuku on Saturday, and no game on tin; Foxton ground, Unit I lie senior
match was to be altered from Kuku to Foxton. Under the circumstances the Union lias decided that this match will be played later on in the season.
