CARGO PILLAGING.
CASES FILLED WITH BRICKS ' AND STOKES. Dunedin, June 7. The steamer Kumara arrived at Dunedin on May 28th, from Kew York, via Lyttelton, and sailed on June 2nd for Melbourne. Among the cargo landed in Dunedin was a consignment of kid leather, consisting of eighteen eases. On opening them at the wharf to-day, it was discovered that eight cases contained bricks and stones only, the original contents, valued at £2,500, having been pillaged.
