ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
Auckland, June 9. The body of a commercial traveller, George Kelson Butler, aged 58, employed by Messrs A. H. Nathan. Ltd., was found on St. Mary’.- beach litis morning, apparently drowned. Deceased had been at Wbangarei, and on Friday telephoned to his wife that ho would return next day. Nothing fail her hud boon heard ol him. Deceased had no family. The body of a married woman, Amy Ryan, aged about 49, was found floating in the harbour -this morning. She was last seen on f riday. Dunedin, Juno (i. A hoy named James t'askie, a telegraph messenger, It) years 01. age, was electrocuted host night about 9 o’clock, in the reserve known as the Triangle, in Lower High Street. Caskio was swinging on one of the wire stays of a flagpole, when the high wind blow it against the electric power wire. This probably caused a current of about 1,790 volts, and Gaskie must have been killed’ instantaneously.
