ROYAL PICTURES.

One of Cynthia Stocklcy’s masterful novels of South African life, “The Claw,” has been selected for Clara Kimball Young’s latest releases, to be screened to-night. The starts many admirers will not he disappointed in her performance, in the African story. She is wholly and beautifully satisfying as Mary Saurin, and tlie plot furnishes plenty of action and suspense. The “man who wore ear-rings” is played by Milton Sills, while Jack Holt makes a cordially detestable villain, Maurice Stair. The production lacks nothing in beauty of scene or artistic development of situation, and Clara Kimball Young is as lovely and effective as ever in the leading role.

On Monday a grand double William Fox programme will be screened. One of these, “The Love Auction,” features the popular actress, Virginia Pearson. In this it is shown how a very poor girl rejects her boyhood sweetheart to marry a millionaire she does not love, and the life of misery which follows. The other star item is “Words and Music By -> ,” featuring Albert Rav and Elinor Fair.
