THE WEATHER.
The Government Meteorologist wires as follows; — The indications are for moderate to strong southerly winds, freshening, and veering by east to south. Expect dull weather, with much mist and fog in parts. Heavy rain is to be with rivers rising shortly. The barometer has a falling tendency, but rising after about 24 to 36 hours. ' Tides poor, seas rough.
