BENEFIT CONCERT.
TO-MORROW NIGHT, Ow.hig to the very inelement weather on Tuesday night, it was decoded to postpone the Benefit Entertainment nntil to-morrow .(Friday) night. The programme to be submitted is full of merit and versatile, and apart from the very deserving cause, should attract a big audience. The concerted items by the Maori songsters are alone worth the ]trice of admission. We are of opinion that the local public do not realise (.lie marvellous vocal talent of the local Native songsters. There are also orchestral items by Air Osborne’s orchestra, vocal and humorous items by well-known loeal vocalists, and the whole will conclude with a screaming farce, “Johnny Bladder,” which should send old and young into fits of laughter. It is hoped that the entertainment will realise upwards of £SO, and it is urged that every one should endeavour to attend or purchase a ticket.
