INCREASE IN LOCAL STOCKS, Returns furnished by the Imperial Supplies Department show increases in the quantities of meat and dairy produce awaiting shipment. The total quantity of meat awaiting shipment on April 15th was 0,325,587 carcases, compared with 5,738,040 carcases on March stb, an increase of £587,541 carcases. Shipments during the month were 21,743 quarters of beef, 100,748 carcases of mutton, and 368,98-± carcases of lamb.

Cheese in store on April 20th. amounted to 323,454 crates, an increase of 49,043 crates. The shipments between March 29th and April 20th totalled 83,642 crates.

There were 129,014 boxes ot butter awaiting shipment on April 24th, compared with 77,482 boxes on March 29th. The shipments during the month totalled 74,519 boxes. Stocks of wool on Imperial ac* count were reduced from 486,28 1 bales to 406,947 bales.
