ROYAL PICTURES.
At the Royal to-night the star item is “Dimples,” a Metro production, featuring'the delightful little star, .Mary Miles Mintcr. It is one of those pictures which win instant appreciation from all picture-patrons —there arc no great problems to unravel, but there is a good and interesting .dramatic story, some bright comedy, and a charm of youth and youthful gaiety. “Dimples” cannot fail to please, the personality of the young star, Dm sweet innocence .of the character portrayed, and the charming wholesomenoss of the story, will appeal. The winning smile, the playful prettiness of the sweet girl, and the likeable qualities of Mary Miles Minter are no mean factors.in the success ofjjjjs picture. 1 .
To-morrow night, “The Pacing of the Third Floor Back” will be screened. To say that “The Pas-sing-of the Third Floor Back” is a picture with an influence for good is but a faint praise. Sir Johnston Forbes-Rohertson, the greatest living actor, with a caste that is notable for types and portrayal, in the character that is most readily associated with his great and honoured name, can only have such an ’influence;' His performance is rich in imagination and intelligent unfier-c-tamling of the strange character of “The Stranger” who passed like v ray of light through the lives of people typical of to-day. edly it ism film triumph.
