RIFLE SHOOTING.

Last Friday morning a practice shoot and “lining-up” shoot was held, at 200 , 500 and 000 yards. The purpose was to verify the elevation on those rifles to he used in the coming-match against Haul ere. There were four shots and sighter only at each range. The scoring generally was good, the weather conditions being very favourable. Mr E. Murphy, a new member, was present. The results are: —

"No shoot. On Saturday the first shoot for Mr Parkes’ gold medal,.second prize 12s, (Idl'd prize Bs, was tired, at 200 and 300 yards. An overcast sky, with very little wind —ideal conditions for shooting—resulted in some high scores being registered. There were ten members present, and results are as follows: —
