ROYAL PICTURES.
Any one who has sat in a gallery seat at the .theatre will find much of interest in Taylor Holmes’ courtship of .Marguerite Clayton, in “Two Bit Scats,” to be screened to.-nigbL The young man’s ludicrous attempts to become acquainted with the charming - girl next to him, with whom ho has fallen in love at first Hght, make excellent comedy, and the girl’s actions in breaking the ice with a hatpin, accidentally brought into intimate contact with her admirer, show that of perspicacity she had at least her shave. The picture is full of human touches, and gives the impression of reality that is often conspicuous by its absence. English melodrama, strengthened by highly interesting undersea views photographed by the WilUnxngftn submarine tube, “The White Heather,” Maurice Tourneaur’s latest Paramount-Artcraft special picture, which will he screened to-morrow night, portrays'some tremendous efforts to get the “papers” in the case of Marion Hume, who married Loid Angus Cameron abroad his yacht by the Scotch ceremony of declarationbefore two witnesses. The documentary evidence of the marriage, enclosed in waterproof wrappings before the yacht was sunk, constitutes the sole protection of Marion and her child, as one witness disappeared in the deep, and the other in the flotsam and jetsam of the London underworld. Lord Angus, finding himself in serious financial circumstances, urged to marry a. woman of wealth, denies his secret marriage to Marion, and tights with highbred selfishness to make his own son illegitimate, a conflict ending in b.is own death and that of a lad who tried to dear the young wife’s name.
