FOXTON RIFLE CLUB.
A meeiing Of members of tho Foxton Kilie Club was held on Thursday evening. A leiior was read from the Lin lon Club, inviting the Foxton riflemen to lire a match on their miniature range at Palmerston -North at an early date. It was decided to reply advising that they could not accept the invitation at present, but would send a team up later on. It was decided to again challenge the Levin Club for the Fresh Food and Ice Company’s Cup, and to suggest March 13th as a suitable date for the match. Mr J. Kider donated £2 Cor prizes for a match amohg members. It was decided to commence same on Saturday (to-day), the prizes, Ist £l, 2nd 12s, 3rd Bs, being awarded for the best two out of three shoots. Mr Rider agreed to handicap for Ibis match. It was resolved that no member of the Club he allowed to purchase a ride unless he agrees to become an active member. In order to assist the C lub funds it was decided to conduct a dancing assembly during the coming season, and the following committee was set up to make all the necessary arrangements • —Messrs J. Kider, A. Barnard, 11. Frankland. H. McKognoy, and W. Symons.
