SOLDIERS’ MEMORIAL
A meeting of the local Falleii Soldiers’ Memorial Committee was held in the Council Chambers last night. The Mayor presided. The amount promised and in hand totalled £204 8s lid. It was decided to close the; list. It was resolved that three district firms be asked to submit designs and specifications of a monument to cost £240 without lettering; .» the monument to have a base of concrete 10 ft. square, and to bo not less than 18ft. high, the work to be completed within five weeks of acceptance of tender.
